PTE Academic tests taken prior to August 10th will qualify for SDS (Study Direct Stream) if they are submitted after this date and fall within the validity period specified by IRCC (Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada).

PTE Academic Eligibility

PTE exams are categorized into three types: PTE Academic, PTE General, and PTE Academic Online. These versions follow a structured exam pattern that evaluates a person's essential English language skills, including reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

The PTE test centers form a widespread network, with more than 400 centers available in 117 countries. Additionally, candidates have the convenient option to register for the PTE at Home. In India, there are 35 PTE exam centers located in all major cities.

It is important for test takers to be aware that the terms "PTE exam fees," "PTE test fees," and "PTE fees" all refer to the standard PTE Academic exam fee or PTE registration fee of Rs 15,900. However, if a candidate books their PTE exam within 48 hours of the test date, they will be subject to an additional fee known as the PTE Late Booking Fee.

PTE Exam Fee

The TOEFL exam in 2023 consists of four sections: Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing, which are assessed to determine the total score. To achieve better scores, it is recommended that candidates practice extensively with TOEFL Sample Papers. The exam pattern is established by ETS, the conducting body responsible for overseeing the TOEFL exam, and all preparation materials are designed with the exam pattern in mind.

TOEFL scores are made available online six days after the test date. The total score is obtained by summing up the scores from all four skill areas. During TOEFL registration, candidates have the opportunity to choose up to four institutions to receive their score reports. Following the release of the TOEFL results, ETS sends the official score reports directly to the designated institutions selected by the student.

PTE Preparation Tips

Below are the steps to register for the PTE Exam:

Step 1: Visit the official PTE Academic website at https://www.pearsonpte.com/pte-academic and select the appropriate test and your purpose for taking the test.

Step 2: Read and agree to the PTE Terms and Conditions to proceed with the registration.

Step 3: Choose your preferred PTE Test Centre, along with the available date and time for your PTE Academic exam.

Step 4a: After selecting your preferences, a confirmation page will display your PTE exam details, including the exam type, appointment details (Test Centre, Date, and Time), and the PTE fee.

Step 4b: Once you have reviewed and confirmed your PTE appointment details, proceed to make the payment for the PTE exam. Please note that the PTE Exam Fee has been revised to INR 15,900 starting from 2023.

Step 5: Pay the PTE registration fee of INR 15,900, which includes taxes, using one of the available payment options.

After completing the PTE registration, you can either print the acknowledgement receipt or access it later on your account dashboard.
